What are Fortune Foamies?
Fortune Foamies are handcrafted mini soaps made with gentle, plant-based ingredients. Each one includes a hidden surprise inside. The surprise may be a charm, a fortune, an uplifting message on seed paper and more!
Are all soaps handcrafted?
Yes! Every Fortune Foamie is lovingly crafted by hand in small batches in New York City for quality, detail, and just the right amount of whimsy.
What ingredients do you use?
We use gentle, plant-based ingredients and avoid harsh chemicals and synthetic dyes. Our soaps are sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and many are available fragrance-free. The specific ingredients for each soap are included on each soap's product page.
Do you offer fragrance-free options?
Yes! Many products are offered with a fragrance-free option. Simply check the “Fragrance-free, please :-)” checkbox above the button on the product detail page for each product, to make your selection fragrance free.
Is the colorant natural?
Yes! Our added colors come from cosmetic-grade, skin-safe micas and plant-based pigments.
Are your soaps safe for sensitive skin?
Yes! Our soaps are made with gentle, skin-loving ingredients and are usually well-suited for sensitive skin. Our founder has very sensitive skin, so she formulates everything with that in mind. Since sensitivities vary, we recommend reviewing the ingredients and doing a quick patch test just to be safe.
Do your soaps contain lavender?
Only our Lush Lavender, Bubble & Bloom soap contains lavender. If you would like to order this soap without lavender, you can check "Fragrance-free, please :-)" on its product detail page.
The hidden surprises
What kind of surprises are inside the soaps?
Depending on the soap, you’ll find fortunes tucked into tiny capsules, collectible charms, mini figurines, plantable seed paper that grows into wildflowers and more! We're ideating new products and surprises every day. Sign up for our email list at the bottom of our website to find out when new products are released!
Is the surprise safe in the water?
Absolutely. The surprise is embedded safely inside the soap, tucked into a capsule or a small watertight pouch. Our fortunes are also made with water resistant paper for extra protection and all glitter is biodegradable. The surprise appears once the soap has been used down. Just remove it once revealed and enjoy the little treat!
How do I plant the seed paper?
Soak the seed paper, tear it into small pieces, place it under a thin layer of soil, and water often. Set in a sunny spot and enjoy tiny blooms in a few weeks (it can take up to 8 weeks depending on conditions). The instructions are also on the seed paper itself for your convenience as well.
What are your charms made out of?
Most of our charms are made of alloy and enamel, they are corrosion resistant and more durable than most metals. Some of our charms are gold-plated. Our glow-in-the-dark charms are made from glow-in-the-dark resin. We are working on providing new charm designs and materials daily. Orders & shipping
How long will it take to receive my order?
As all Fortune Foamies are handcrafted, orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on its way!
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Occasionally we offer promotions or free shipping codes. Check your package insert or sign up for email updates to get the latest perks.
Can I send Fortune Foamies as a gift?
Absolutely! They make the sweetest little gifts! Add a special note at checkout, and we’ll tuck it into your package.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States. We hope to add international shipping in the future.
Care & use
How long does a Fortune Foamie last?
Our mini soaps last approximately 1–2 weeks with regular use. Our larger soaps will last much longer. The weight of each soap is listed on it's product detail page.
How do I make my soap last longer?
Keep your Foamie dry between uses by placing it on a draining soap dish. This helps it last much longer. We offer soap dishes on our website as well!
Are your soaps safe for kids?
Yes! Kids over the age of 3 love the tiny surprises inside! However, our soaps are not suitable for children under 3 due to the small parts included.
Are your fortunes kid friendly?
Yes! All fortunes are written with all ages in mind. Fortune Foamies are designed to bring joy and positivity into the world. Our fortunes include uplifting messages, positive predictions and inspiring words.
Packaging & sustainability
Do your packages come gift-ready?
Yes, each Foamie arrives shrink-wrapped for protection and tucked into a beautiful translucent organza pouch, gathered together with a small ribbon, finished with Fortune Foamie tags including our logo, fragrance included (if any) ingredients, weight, information about the surprise inside and a QR code to our website.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes! Most of our packaging is recyclable or reusable, including our paper tags, organza bags, product boxes and packing paper.
Are your soaps eco-friendly?
Yes! We do our best to choose ingredients and materials that are gentle on your skin and kind to the Earth, including plant-based formulas. Some of our soaps even include seed paper surprises that help reduce our carbon footprint.
